Nambawan - Cheapest Pork Burger in Town

When we feel like eating pork burger, Nambawan comes to our mind. Easily the cheapest and tastiest pork burger that you can have when eating out. Besides pork burger, Nambawan also serve chargrilled pork belly with applesauce, pulled pork burger, black cod, fish and chips, and other local cuisines.

We had the Garden Salad (RM4.90), pork burger (RM7.90), and the 50/50 burger (RM9.90). All burgers are served with generous serving of chips.

Garden Salad to start the meal.

The Garden Salad is a simple and fresh combination of zucchini, lettuce, tomatoes and onions drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette and freshly ground black peppers. Delicious and appetizing! Rating: 8/10.

Grilled pork burger, juicy and succulent.

50/50 burger served with chips.

KY had the grilled pork burger, simple and yummy. The patty is firm, crispy in the outside and inside it you can taste the minced onion, herbs and some pork lard. Rating: 8/10.

CL's 50/50 burger has an interesting name because it is half bacon and half minced pork. The patty is fresh and juicy, unlike the commercial kind. Definitely a must-order! Rating: 8/10.

We sipped some hot chocolate (RM2.50) to complete the meal before heading off to TGIF's in IOI Mall, Puchong for dessert.

Mocha mud pie!

TGIF's mocha mud pie (RM19.90++) made a comeback with a smaller serving size, softer, sweeter and topped with almond flakes. Totally a disappointment compared to the first time when I had the mocha mud pie at Section 14, Petaling Jaya. Not only it was cheaper at that time, it was double the size, much colder and harder (the fork bent when I tried to cut it!), much more tastier with a stronger mocha flavour. Rating: 5/10. Avoid unless you have extra cash to convert into calories. But definitely go to Nambawan!

Food: 8/10

Ambiance: A little greasy with poor kitchen air ventilation. Sit outside if you don't mind.

Service: Average.

Price: Extremely cheap. $ / $$ / $$$

Revisit? Definitely, for the cheap and good burgers. Try their weekend menu ala carte specials!
